LUO Lianggong(Male, born Oct 30, 1967), Ph. D. in Comparative Literature and World Literature, is professor of English and vice dean of School of Foreign Languages, and director of Centre for English Literature, Central China Normal University, Wuhan, China. Concurrently he is Assistant Editor-in-Chief ofForeign Literature Studies(anAHCIsource journal), member of the Editorial Board ofWorld Literature Studies, Deputy Chief Editor of the International Editorial Board ofThe Yeats Journal of Korea, Executive Director of Chinese/American Association for Poetry and Poetics (CAAP) at University of Pennsylvania, and standing director of the Council of Chinese Association for the Study of American Literature (founded in 1978). He served as the General Secretary of the 1stand 2ndConvention of Chinese/American Association for Poetry and Poetics (Wuhan, 2013 and 2011), the International Symposium on African American Literature (Wuhan, 2009), the International Conference on the 20thCentury American Poetry (Wuhan, 2007), and International Symposium on Langston Hughes (Wuhan, China, 2007). His recent academic research focuses on English poetry and poetics, African American Literature, and literary translation study. He is author, translator, and editor of over 10 books and has published over 50 essays, about 10 of them indexed in AHCI, ISSHP (CPCI) and ISTP. He is recipient of awards and scholarships from China National Fund for Social Sciences and Philosophy, China National Fund for Publication, Fulbright Scholarship, Hubei Provincial Fund for Philosophy and Social Sciences, and Hubei Provincial Ministry of Education.
